- What does the compressor change inside the PDF?
It re-encodes the embedded raster images and drops unused objects. Text stays text, so the output is still selectable and searchable.
- Why did my PDF barely shrink?
A PDF that is mostly vector text has almost nothing to remove. Scans shrink the most, because nearly all of their weight is images.
- How many pages can one PDF have?
100 pages on the free plan, 500 on Premium, 2000 on Pro. Page count is checked before processing starts, so an oversized file fails immediately instead of halfway through.
- What happens to my file after processing?
It is uploaded over HTTPS, processed, and deleted 24 hours later by an automatic storage rule. Files are never used for anything other than your own conversion.
- What are the size limits?
Free: 100 MB per file and 5 files at a time, 8 conversions a day without an account and 20 when signed in. Premium: 500 MB and 20 files. Pro: 1 GB and 50 files.
